1. Go into device manager and find the USB28xx device. Right click on the device and choose Uninstall driver.

2. Go into Windows Explorer and into the Windows\inf folder. Look for the files that start with OEMxx.inf. One or two of these files pertains to USB28xx device. Click into each one to find the right one. Delete the file and also the file with the same name but with the extension .PNF

3. Go to the Windows\system32\drivers folder.  Look for emDevice.sys, emFilter.sys, emScan.sys, and emStream.sys.  Delete those four files.

To completely make sure you do not have any instances of the driver installed.

4. Click on Start>Run and type regedit. Click on Hkey_Local_Machine > System> CurrentControlSet > Enum > USB. Now find the sub folder that contains the entry USB 2800 video, 2820 video, 2860 video or similar. There will also be an entry for eMpia technology. After you find the entries, delete the Main Folder that contains these sub folders. If you get a Cannot Delete Error, right click on the folder and choose permissions. Check Allow to delete.
